A plein air painting completed near Michigan City, Indiana, at Indiana Dunes National Park. A late fall day, northern Indiana created a perfect day for painting outdoors. It was windy and I anchored my easel into the sand and held it as the gusts swirled and threatened to upend it. It was truly exhilarating.
